PowerPress 11.17 JavaScript Conflict

    Anti-Spam by CleanTalk conflicts with PowerPress 11.17 in the WordPress
    Gutenberg post editor.

    With CleanTalk active, PowerPress tabs do not respond.

    Console errors:
    Uncaught SyntaxError: Identifier ‘_’ has already been declared
    /wp-content/plugins/powerpress/js/admin.min.js?ver=11.17

    Uncaught ReferenceError: powerpress_openTab is not defined

    PowerPress works correctly when CleanTalk is disabled. All other plugins
    can remain enabled. The issue occurs in both Safari and Chrome.

    The issue only occurs when Anti-Spam by CleanTalk is active. With CleanTalk disabled (and all other plugins enabled), the PowerPress “Chapters & Transcript” tabs work normally.

    We’ve fixed the issue. All the necessary changes will be included in our next stable release.

    In the meantime, please reinstall the plugin using the following steps:

    Here’s a step-by-step guide:

    • Go to your WordPress Administrator Dashboard and navigate to Plugins.
    • Locate the “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” plugin and click Deactivate.
    • After the page automatically refreshes, find the “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” plugin again and click Delete. Confirm the deletion by clicking “Yes, delete these files”.
    • Download the plugin archive from the provided link above.
    • Navigate to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
    • Choose the downloaded archive file and click Install Now.
