I use themeboy default free theme Rookie and i want to place some of that slider between top menu and fixtures, results widget.
Over here in that free space.

You should first install a plugin that offers Posts Slider as a widget and then add this widget at Homepage widget place.

Thanks is certainly possible but requires more custom code than we can provide.
You’ll need to add a slider plugin, and add the code to call it in your header.php file.
