  • Hi Archey,

In your present layout I take it that “Gaming news” and “Video’s” will get daily or so new posts in them. Then it is advisable to make Categories with these names and put at least one test post in each.
They will then show up in your right sidebar as clickable Category links.
From there you can move on:

    1. Choosing whether you want a static frontpage or a dynamic one showing excerpts of all your latest posts?
    2. Adding the Category links to your topmenu etc etc

I want the posts on different pages.

Try settings – Reading and make the front page a static page, and the blog page where ever you want your posts

Archey, they will look as different pages (but under the hood they are categories. Just try it and then explain what you do’nt like.

Along the same lines, I’d like to have a static front page that offers two choices:
    1. Text blog (public)
    2. Photo blog (private)

I’ve set up the two categories, but when I go to set up the static front page, I only have the option of one page for post updates. Is there a way to make two options for post updates? Or do I just need to separate based on category?

BTW, right now I’m using just the standard theme…
