Posts not seen in menu
-
I wrote a sample post but I have no clue how to get it to show up in a page on the menu. Maybe it’s because I selected “pages” for my menu options. I thought “posts” go under “pages ” in the menu and ON Pages in full. I know I’m doing something simple, wrong lol what do I need to do ? (I also thought u could choose which page you wanted your post to go in “categories” in the editor but nothing from my menu shows up)
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

You can add the post to a menu via appearances->menus. Did you set up a posts page?
If not, create a blank page titled “Posts” or “Blog” or something like that, then from appearances->reading, designate that as the posts page.
Please excuse my beginner queries, but where is appearance? I’ve seen it before but haven’t located it at the moment.
https://ibb.co/6sRtLHD it’s not on mine.
Interesting. Are you logging in as an administrator? If so, then it may be that your theme or a plugin is removing items from the dashboard.
This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for JUST you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time. See https://make.wordpress.org/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/ or https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/ for more information.
Thx for your help. I’ve squared that away. Appearance is back. Now what do I do to show my posts on the proper pages aka menu tabs?
Posts are generally not listed on your menus, though you can add them from appearance->menus. Generally, one as a “posts” page for all posts. What do you mean by “show my posts on the proper pages aka menu tabs”?
I mean when I add things to my menu. Let’s say I have a health site. My menu has “Food” “Drink” and “workout” tabs. If I write an article on asparagus I’d want it under the “Food” tab. So when someone clicks “Food” from the menu, my asparagus article will be the 1st thing they see on that page.
Categorize your posts and then add a “category” item to the menu bar for each. WP will automatically show posts in that category.
I thought it worked that way, then I was thinking “what about when I get to 1,000 posts?”. Will they all just be sitting there when I’m scrolling thru my menu. Seemed like a lot but…I get it.
