• I went in to start a blog post and noticed that my last 3 posts are gone. They are not showing up in the Admin page or on the site itself. I believe I backed up when I upgraded last time and am hesitant to upgrade to the 3.1.3 incase I can retrieve the info. The last post I did was on May 31st, which is now missing, and I haven’t touched it since. The latest post that shows up was on May 9th and I have since posted 3 more since than. Has anyone else had this issue recently, and is there a way to get those posts back?

    Thanks

P.S. If you need any more info, let me know, I am also new to this so bear with me.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Ok I deactivated the plugins the reactivated them one by one, and nothing changed.

I have a purchased theme and can only see that as an option for a theme.

This site was set up by a friend and I am currently trying to get more info from him so I can run it myself, including hosting and stuff like that.

Thanks for the reply. Would upgrading fix it?

You should have the default Twenty Ten theme installed as well. Get your friend to add it for you.

Not sure that would be wise until you’ve figured this out. There’s an outside chance that it could due to a damaged database. Upgrading could make matters worse, if that was the case.
