I might be the post format. Your theme may support some or all predefined post formats. This true with Twenty Eleven and other modern themes.
The strange thing is that here, when the post format is “Standard”, nothing is shown after the title on the posts listing. Do you have the option to select a format in your post editor? Which other formats? Which theme?
It might be a bug if “Standard” is shown. Info needed to track this situation.
I think I have edited this particular post in three different editors. 1) The built in editor in the WordPress admin console. 2) Mars Edit on my mac. 3) WordPress IPAD app. I believe I’ve edited multiple post this way though and this one is the only one that has – Standard after the title in the Posts section. Everything seems to be working fine.
I’m happy to continue providing details if someone wants to track this down. Do you have any other questions. Can I provide additional detail, screenshots, etc.? Just let me know.
I can’t recreate the problem. I don’t have standard shown anywhere.
What happens if you create a new post in the WP admin console or in the iPad app?
I can’t recreate the problem either. I’ve created several new posts and cant get Standard to show up any more. It is like that one post has gotten stuck in a state called “Standard” I’ll keep trying to replicate it. – Thanks
I too see this issue pop up. For me, it only occurs when I either create a Post using the WordPress app on my iPhone, or when I upload an image or do heavy editing using the app. It doesn’t affect the presentation of the post in any way, but I have been searching high and low to track down the source of the issue.
I just had the same problem with a post that I wrote through the regular web admin panel, and then later edited with the iPhone app. Doesn’t seem to have affected the post in any way, so I’m not too worried about it, but good to know that I’m not the only one it’s happened to.
same thing happended here, ” – Standard” shown after iPad edit. But doesn’t seem to affect anything else.
