• On the page I post on I still have my very first post at the bottom of the page from June. Is this normal? I was under the impression that at the end of each month the posts would archive and “dissapear” from the first page. Any idea on this one?

Edit – I’m also having another problem. I just changed the look of my site and for some reason the first few links in my blog will not work, when you hover over them they don’t even “appear” as a link. The only way you can tell it’s a link is because it’s a different color. The further down the blog you go – those links will work and ALL the links in the previous posts work as well. It’s just the current one at that time that won’t work.

  • Archives – what options for showing posts do you have set in admin ?
No links – is caused by the flower. Your header image is actually a large block – probably set to be transparent – and this lies on top of the links. So you can see them, but because the block is in the way, you can’t do anything with them.

I have it set to show the last 10 days on the front page.
And the flower issues, thank you for pointing that out – how can I fix it while keeping the same look or is that not an option?

WordPress is dynamic. It doesn’t archive the way static weblogs do. An archive is not generated each month. Instead, everything is just a view into the database. You can have a month view, a day view, an author view, or combinations thereof. You can view all posts by a given author in a given month for a given category that contain the words “howdy buckaroo” if you like.
Anyway, when you have the front page set to 10 days, you get the last 10 days worth of posts, regardless of the month.

Well that’s just it – I have it set to the last 10 days but I have the last five MONTHS showing on the first page. I was just wondering if that’s a common problem or what
