Posts and Events with same slug

I would like to have posts and the events custom post type to share the same page.

I made a page called “news-events” with a custom posts loop to show all events and news. Now when I open a post it works with the slug /news-events/postname but when I try to open an event I get a “not found” message.

Anyway to make to listen to the same slug?
