Hi, I hope somebody can help me.

I am helping out a friend set up his blog but the comment feature in the Post does not seem to work. I have enabled the ‘Allow people to comment’ option in the Discussion setting, ticked the ‘Allow comments’ and ‘Allow trackbacks and pingbacks’ options on each Post, but still it won’t work.

I also cannot go to the post itself. When I click the title, usually a page will open up with the post, but this time, it doesn’t.

This is the page in question:
    http://petealdin.com/blog-and-podcasts-2#respond

What may have I done wrong in the set up and how can I fix it?

    Thank you so much!
    Lydia

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Wow, the permalinks worked. I knew it would be something silly. Thank you so much alchymyth. And thank you too esmi for your suggestions, will keep that in mind if I come across anymore issues.

    Best,
