Hi,

I know this has been an issue for a while but reading the answer on various topics didn’t get me a clear answer.

The question is quit simple: Can I make a post and publish it directly to a page of my choice (not being the regular homepage)?

Short answer is No. You don’t post to pages.

You can configure your theme’s template files to display only certain categories on your main page. You can use the WordPress native archive ability to present category archives, author archives, date archives etc.

You can create Page templates to display posts in certain categories.

You can use the ‘static front page’ feature as described in How can I have a static front page and posts display on a page called Blog?
