post-sitemap.xml throws error in search console | WordPress.org

it’s very weird: the post-sitemap shows 41 urls. they all look ok in the xml file but the search console displays “41 urls found” plus 48 error urls which are actually not even listed in this xml file.

these error urls in the search console all start with https%3A, for example: https%3A//oswald-sorge.ch/wp-content/uploads/immoberatung_marijana-5.jpg

how to fix this?

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please follow these steps?
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/
