• Hello. Is anyone else having problems with the post editor in WP 7? For me, when I go in to create or edit a post, it’s like all of the CSS is gone, and in my case, becomes unusable because a lot of the text becomes the same color as the background, etc. I’m using the current version of Botiga (2.4.5) and WP 7.0 with Gutenberg and all plugins disabled (for the purpose of testing/verification). When I downgrade my WP back to 6.9.4, it goes back to normal. I realize that it’s probably some quirk of my setup since no one else has said anything, but I can’t find it yet and was just curious.

  • Hi @sailingfortuitous,

    Thanks for contacting us.

I tried replicating this on my local install with WP 7.0 and Botiga 2.4.5, but the editor styles load normally for me. You can see my test here.

Since you’ve already ruled out plugins, here are the next things to check:

    • Stale Cache: Clear your browser cache and any server-side caching or CDNs (like Cloudflare) your host might be running.
    • Corrupted Core Update: Go to Dashboard > Updates and click “Re-install version 7.0” just in case a core CSS file failed to download. Also, if you use a child theme, temporarily switch to the parent theme to test.
    • Try checking the editor on a different browser.

If it’s still broken after that, right-click the editor, click Inspect, and check the Console tab. Let me know if you see any red errors there!
