Support » Fixing WordPress » post editor bugs

  • Hi,

I just installed WordPress and migrated my old blog to it.

Bugs that I can’t live with:

#1) Some of my old posts have iframe ads in them. When I edit the post, the closing iframe tag gets lost and then the post doesn’t display properly.

#2) When editing an old post with a table tags in it, they get lost. The table code and any content inside the table simply gets eaten up.

Any help? I am using Firefox as my browser. Would it help if I used MSIE?

    Thakns, Carol

  • No, changing browsers won’t fix anything.

    Two things:

Options -> Writing, disable the option to have WP fix xhtml

Turn off the WYSIWYG editor by going to Users -> Your Preferences and unchecking “Use the visual rich editor when writing”

Thanks for the reply. My “WP fix xhtml” option is already unchecked. I don’t want to deal with raw html when writing and editing posts – that’s one reason I migrated to Word Press!

Would any of the WYSIWYG plug-ins solve these problems? I see there are several in the plug in database.
