Hi
These strings are hardcoded in your theme, and they are stored in .po/.mo files. You can translate them with tools like the Loco translate plugin.unfortunately there is no .po/ .mo file set for mv_MV (Dhivehi) found in within polylang.
and i want translate post or pages post date and time. eg: if its in English, 01 Jan, 2016. If its in Dhivehi it will look like this. 2016 ޖެނުއަރީ 01 (if read it in latin, it goes like this, (ekeh jenuary dehaas soalha).
The po/mo file are not in the Polylang directory, since they are not generated by Polylang. Polylang reads the .mo file and WordPress the .po file.
The Loco translate plugin can generate the po/mo files for the Dhivehi.
Did you try it?You can change the format of the Date Format and the Time format in the ‘Strings translation’ tab (Settings > Languages). You can refer to the codex to choose date formats and time formats adapted to your languages.
@chrystl: I tried all these options and noticed, when changing date format from (Settings > Languages) it changes the way it displays but in English. As im using Polylang for multi lingual site, when i switch to Dhivehi, i want post date, author name, time and etc displays in Dhivehi.
Eg site: http://idesignproduction.com/beta/mv/2016/01/02/hello-world/when i switch to Dhivehi, i want post date, author name, time and etc displays in Dhivehi.
Did you try in addition of Polylang the Loco translate plugin?
In Loco translate plugin below words does not fetch for translation.
Date area, author, time, category, Logged in as admin, Log out?, post comment, Reply, Recent Posts, Recent Comments, Archives, Meta, Entries RSS, Comments RSS, WordPress.org.
So I do not understand how to handle these translations as this is a multilingual site and if i translate from original source, it will change for English site as well.In fact the dates are provided by WordPress. But they are not translated in WordPress. Only 7% the strings are translated in Dhivehi.
If you want you can to help the WordPress team to translate it in Dhivehi:
https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/dv/default/wp/devHowever these strings should be translatable in Loco translate, but in WordPress section, not in the MH Magazine lite theme section.
Im happy to help but i need a solution for this mentioned issue instead to having me to install 02 separate WordPress installation for both English and Dhivehi.
You don’t need to install 2 WordPress. WordPress is not translated in Dhivehi.
As I mentioned above, you can translate them thanks to Loco translate:However these strings should be translatable in Loco translate, but in WordPress section, not in the MH Magazine lite theme section.
in Loco Translate, the above mentioned strings does not pull. where can i find those strings?
In Loco Translate did you select “WordPress”?
Under Loco Translate Package details i do not see any package called WordPress nor in anywhere??
The other issue im having is alignment of flag. I want English flag to be aligned to left end of Dhivehi menu bar while Dhivehi flag on Right end of English menu bar. How to add css for both different files as menu column is handled in main style.css

You must activate the relevant option in the Loco translate settings: ‘Enable WordPress core translations’.
