Post code validation failed

I’m building a solution for my client which needed Woocommerce plugin. When I add items to the cart and go to checkout I’m getting an error “Billing Postcode / ZIP is not a valid postcode.”. The postcode i’m using is “K2P 2L8”. I googled this and seems like it is a valid postcode. How can I fix this issue?

Hi @pradeep08
I’m building a solution for my client which needed Woocommerce plugin. When I add items to the cart and go to checkout I’m getting an error “Billing Postcode / ZIP is not a valid postcode.”. The postcode i’m using is “K2P 2L8”. I googled this and seems like it is a valid postcode. How can I fix this issue?
From what I understand, you’re having trouble with the WooCommerce plugin while working on a solution for your client. You’re getting an error saying “Billing Postcode / ZIP is not a valid postcode” when you try to check out, even though you’re using the seemingly valid postcode “K2P 2L8”.
Today, I’ve tested this issue on my own site, using the most recent versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, and our free Storefront theme, with no other software enabled. However, I was unable to replicate the issue you’re experiencing.

Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps:
- Look at your WooCommerce settings, specifically ‘Selling location(s)‘ and ‘Shipping location(s)‘ under ‘General Settings‘. Make sure the country associated with the postcode “K2P 2L8” is included.
- Update Plugins and Themes: Make sure all your plugins, themes, and WordPress are up-to-date. Outdated versions can sometimes cause problems.
- Plugin Conflict Test: Turn off all other plugins except WooCommerce to see if the problem continues. If it stops, then one of the plugins is causing a conflict. You can identify the culprit by turning them back on one at a time and seeing if the problem comes back.
- Theme Conflict Test: Switch to a default WordPress theme like Storefront and see if the problem continues. If it stops, your theme might be the issue.

📌 Just a quick reminder: Before you make any changes, we strongly recommend that you create a backup of your full site and database. This is a crucial step to ensure that in case anything goes wrong, you can easily restore your site to its previous, functioning state.

Actually this is working. I have done a mistake there. Above postcode is from Canada (CA) but I had selected United Kingdom (GB) as the country. It worked once I selected Canada. Thank you for your support.
Hi @pradeep08
Actually this is working. I have done a mistake there. Above postcode is from Canada (CA) but I had selected United Kingdom (GB) as the country. It worked once I selected Canada. Thank you for your support.
I’m thrilled to see that everything is working now! It’s easy to make a mistake like mismatching the postcode with the country, but I’m glad you caught it and corrected it by selecting Canada.
I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. However, if you ever have more questions or issues in the future, don’t hesitate to kick off a new topic.
