Post 4.01 Permalinks / URLs not working

    I have 4 sites running wordpress and all 4 went to 4.01 automatically

    One at least is not displaying some pages – I think it is a permalink issue but cannot troubleshoot.

    Every thing was working great the same day before the auto update to WP 4.01

    an example: http://www.paulgriffiths.info/aboutme but displays the sites home page… also /events does the same thing.

    Permalink issue as plugins were fine and great before the 4.01

    My knowledge of using WordPress is getting better all the time but this issue I am unsure how to continue. I don’t wish to disable all plugins – as all was fine before 4.01

    Any thoughts?

    There could be a theme update to fix recent issues with WordPress 4.0.1. ( See https://wordpress.org/support/topic/issues-with-wordpress-401-and-shortcodes?replies=2 )

    If those are premium/paid themes, it’s best to go to the support site where you bought the theme for help with customizations and issues. You paid for support when you bought the themes, so you should contact the people who sold you the theme.

    InkThemes – makers of Golden Eagle Pro Theme are “I am sorry, we are unable to figure it out.”

    My hosting provider suggest I go to WordPress.Org (here?)

    Wish I new what was happening so I could fix / resolve. WIll know worpdress better after finding out how to fix this one.

    also subpages only load home page e.g. http://www.paulgriffiths.info/events should be calendar.

    Same for any pages

    Any help appreciated as this has been going on for a few weeks now

    Ok to any one perusing this issue

    I have resolved..

    Delete website – using my FTP (CoffeeCup free version)
    Delete database in your Control Panel
    Recreate the database and DB user (using same credentials DB Name, DB Use Name etc)
    Install WordPress 4.01
    Restore Database

    This seemed to clear the issues e.g. http://www.paulgriffiths.info/events running to the home page.

    Some issues with my images / pictures so uploaded these to my uploads folder and all seems back to operational
