Post 4.8 update, unable to update compatible plugins

    Hello, I’m the webmaster for two WordPress using sites each with a variety of plugins. Now, after I’ve updated to 4.8, I’m unable to update any of these 100% compatible plugins.

    I keep getting errors that read “Could not create directory.” Specifically:

    “An error occurred while updating WP-PageNavi: Could not create directory.”

    Any ideas what’s happening here?

    Oddly I have a third set that also updated to 4.8 but seems to have no trouble. I should know that that site is hosted by a different hosting company than the first two.
