Possibility to not cloak?

    Hi, I love this plugin but would love it if it had the ability to not cloak the URL.

    We’ve decided cloaking isn’t for us however we have tons of affiliate links we need to bring over from another plugin and this one looks perfect except for the forced cloaking feature. I installed it and I don’t see the option.

    Perhaps in a future edition you could add a checkbox in the edit screen around Shortlink Slug to not use a slug? Couple that with being able to select what the checkbox default should be for all new affiliate links in the General tab.

    You would just need to add a field in the database with a default value for existing users and then when deciding what the slug should be you can add a simple If statement to check if the value isn’t the default and use the URL instead of the slug.

    I think that would make the plugin more appealing to a larger audience and shouldn’t be that hard to incorporate.

    I could look into that, but that cloaked page is used to register clicks as well, so you won’t be able to see statistics either (there are more coming up in a future update).

    Not sure is that would be an issue?

    Hi Brecht,

    There are plenty of other means to measure clicks. For us, the ability to have one place where we keep and organize all our affiliate links in one spot would be the biggest feature for us.

    For instance, one of our affiliates just changed their link structure. It required finding and changing 118 links on dozens of pages and 40 or 50 posts. Luckily I could do it somewhat quickly directly in the database but I’d rather not have to do things manually if there’s a better way.

    If we had been using your plugin it would have required a few clicks and one edit.

    On an unrelated side note, I noticed that when I selected an image and clicked on Easy Affiliate Link it brought up the entire page in the window. Think that might be a bug.

    Anyway. thanks for considering the non cloaking idea and keep up the awesome job!
