Portfolio Grid Page Published but Missing

I’m testing Virtue with a child theme, starting with following your tutorials, using a clean install. The home page appeared fine but I must be missing something in ‘Creating a Portfolio Page with Virtue’. I made 2 portfolio posts using images for the ‘image slider’, and they show as being published when I look under ‘portfolio/all portfolio’, yet nothing appears on the site. I also created the Portfolio Grid Page, following the tutorial. What am I missing?
