I suggested this change about a year ago. I’m wondering if we’ll ever see this changed? I think it is a simple change. I think the end date already “defaults” to the start date, so it seems that sending the popup calendar a date to default to is doable.

Most of the theatres I enter events for run their shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday for multiple weekends. So when I setup repeating events, I usually use the custom dates feature. It would be very nice if when I clicked on the “select date” field after choosing “custom dates”, it would default to the entered start date for the event rather than the current date. When would a “repeat” date ever be before the event start date? I currently have almost 1100 events in the system spanning over a year into the future. This seems like it should be easy to implement and would make life easier for all users.
