    Hello,

Thanks for the wonderful plugin. It’s been a great help already.

I have ~ 100 images broken out into 6 groups. Each group has it’s own media tag which is added to the images on import. In addition, each group has it’s own gallery page on my site.

What I’d like to do is update the WordPress Media Library “Custom URL” field for each image upon import (to something like “/gallerypage01”) so that clicking on any image featured on the site home page loads the gallery page for that group. How do you suggest I approach this?

    Many thanks

Thanks for the positive feedback and for your question. I want to make sure I understand what you are trying to do.

You wrote “What I’d like to do is update the WordPress Media Library “Custom URL” field“. I am not sure what the “Custom URL field” is; have you created a WordPress Custom Field by that name?

You wrote “clicking on any image featured on the site home page“. How is the set of images composed. Are you using an [mla_gallery] shortcode or some other means?

You wrote “Each group has it’s own media tag which is added to the images on import.” Where is the “media tag” stored, e.g., is it a term assigned to the image in a taxonomy such as Att. Tags or Att. Categories?

If you can answer the above questions I can be more specifically helpful. Any additional details you can provide will be helpful. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

    Hello again,

Upon reading your response, it occured to me that the “Custom URL” field is not a WordPress convention but rather something that was added to the Edit Media options in the Media Library by another plugin. I’m sorry that my inexperience sent you down a blind alley. Thanks for your thoughtful response to my query.
