Multi-language WPML/Polylang plugin support
In response to that topic I have been working for some time on Polylang support and have developed a solution you should find useful. Have a look at the last post in the earlier topic, which describes how to get the latest MLA Development Version and a copy of “PolyMLA”. The PolyMLA example plugin adds language columns to the Media/Assistant display and has features for “Quick Translate” and “Bulk Translate” of Media Library items.
If you have a chance to use the Development Version and the Polylang support plugin I would be very interested in your feedback.
I will leave this topic unresolved until the example plugin goes out in the next MLA version. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

I got confused when you mentioned the dev tab.
Once I got the file I checked to see if the mla-polylang-support.zip was in there to make sure I had the right “repository”.
I followed your instructions for deactivation and installation of both plugins, the new dev mla and the mla-polylang-support.zip.
I was happy to see the new language flag columns inside MLA.

I will try to make the download instructions more clear and easy to follow. I am not sure how you found the GitHub repository, but I appreciate knowing about that link.

If you click on “Media Library Assistant” or “Support Topics” At the upper-right corner of this page you will see main Media Library Assistant page in the WordPress Repository, which has a set of tabs beginning with “Description” and ending with “Developers” on the right. That’s the “Developers tab” in step 1. of the instructions. How can I make that easier to understand and find?
The “PolyMLA” plugin is a work-in-progress, and I welcome your feedback on how it can be expanded and improved. Thanks for working with me on this project.
I have just uploaded a new Development Version dated 20150531 which has my “release candidate” version of the new Polylang support.
This version integrates Polylang support into the MLA core plugin; the separate “PolyMLA” plugin is no longer required (or allowed).

I have released MLA version 2.11. It contains full Polylang support and does not need a separate plugin to provide the features you need.
