Go to Settings/General in your admin panel and change the two URLs to http://www.marketingtips.byethost6.com , then move the files, and finally re-save your permalinks at Settings/Permalinks in your admin panel. If WordPress cannot automatically edit the .htaccess file, it will provide manual instructions after saving.
Because its a free account Byethost requires that I upload files to their sub-folder named “htdocs”. My wordpress files are in there. I’m not sure where else to move them. Also, I copied my index.php and htacess files to that htdocs folder (which seems to be the root folder)and renamed (‘./wp-blog-header.php’) to (‘./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’) in my index.php file. But I appear to still be stuck.
Just move all of the WordPress files from /wordpress/ to /htdocs/ after making the change at Settings/General.
Thanks for helping!!
Right now, my admin login area is messed up so I can’t login and no website. Even though I hate Byethost I know I did something wrong.
You may have to access your WordPress database via phpMyAdmin (most hosting providers offer this in their control panel) and manually change the siteurl and home values to http://www.marketingtips.byethost6.com
Thanks! Appreciate the help.
