    Hello,

Using pods, the website is extremely slow. I am using the Assets Clean plugin and WP Rocket. With the Assets Clean plugin, I disabled the PODS plugin on all pages except project pages, where I needed it.

The website is loading fast except for the pages where PODS loads.

I saw many issues here about slow websites with PODS but didn’t see any solutions.

Can you please help me? Thanks.

    Hi @lew1s

Can you give us a bit more info? How many Pods do you have created for example?

    Cheers, Jory

I have only one – project.

Check this page loading time: https://paintingincolour.ie/project/painting-walkingstown-house/

check the home page where I applied with Assets Clean up to dont use PODs

See a page load waterfall of your page at https://www.webpagetest.org/result/230429_BiDc6P_75T/1/details/#waterfall_view_step1

The linked page has a Time to First Byte of 0.417 seconds. This is the main indicator of PHP processing time, which in this case, is not slow.

If looking to optimize the page load time, such as the 1.2 second start render and 2.1 second last contentful paint, I would start by:

    • Consolidating or slimming down the 21 font requests + an additional multi-font Google Fonts request
    • Resolving the 4 font 404’s
    • Consolidating or slimming down the 24 CSS requests.

but this is not the solution. All our pages are loading fast but if I enable PODs on all pages, each page is loading slow. I am using the Assets cleanup plugin and disabled PODs loading from every page instead of the projects.

Try going to Pods Admin > Settings at wp-admin/admin.php?page=pods-settings

Then under the Performance section, adjust those settings to disable them. You should also look at Sessions to ensure those are disabled unless you need them for some reason.
