• Hello,
I have a strange problem here. In the admin area I get an Internal Server error, but only in the “plugins”-tab. When I rename the plugins folder, the error disappears. At the moment, I rename the folder back in “plugins”, the problem is back. There is NO PLUGIN inside the folder. Any Ideas how to fix this problem? I can´t install plugins, if the only folder with this name causes a problem.

  • Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

Ok, plugins.php don´t exist. Ok, I will download a fresh wp, get he plugin.php and load that up. This should be the right way to fix the problem. If not, please tell me Esmi.
    Thank you for the tip.

You might just want to re-upload all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. If you have 1 missing/damaged file, there may be more. Do make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

There was a plugin.php, I replaced it now – problem still is there. I will delete all wordpress and install it again. 1 day work lost 🙁

Strange. Now I installed a fresh wordpress, and this internal server error is everywhere. What I click on my dashboard, shows the error. Worse than before. What now? I don´t have any idea.
