• When creating a new theme do I need to be aware of style naming and comments for plugins to work? What are the things to be aware of for plugins?

I’m doing my own theme they way I want, the way I’m used to. Think WP is too complex (like php in general). But perhaps there are a few guidelines I have to follow?

    No guidelines?

A quick search would have provided you with plenty of resources – such as Designing_Themes_for_Public_Release and Theme_Development.

Thanks. Didn’t see your post. Thought I would get an email when updated.

“A quick search”. I did. And this is my point. WP is way to complex. This is what I call information overload. Soooo tired of this overload.

I have a saying; “if the pedagogical level on the net among developers and programmers would be better we could all take a vacation” 🙂

Not saying I’m any better. But I know when I see complexity.

Thanks but I’m a web developer 🙂 But rather new to WP and need it for a project. Left php a long time ago for the easier and better rails. In general there is “half the page” diff for both code and explanations.
