I’m afraid I don’t know what else to suggest – is there someone technical who supports your apache installation?
They would need to enable RewriteLog which would then have apache record the requested url and the rewrites that occurred, which ended up in a loop.
The only other thing I can imagine to try is switching to the basic 2010 theme and turning off other plugins – just to eliminate potential issues.
OK. However this problem arised when I decided to update to WPbook 2.1 after Post for Canvas migration requested (imposed) by Facebbok.
Before that migration I was using WPBook 2.0.13 and everything was ok.
After post for canvas migration WPbook was stil working but it was not possible to see the share button and the link to my blog within Facebook.
Then after installing WPBook 2.1 this problem.
This can help suggest me any turnaround?
Well, it suggests that somehow your blog setup conflicts with the way we’ve done OAuth based authentication.
Unfortunately it’s necessary to move in this direction, as Facebook is gradually deprecating all the old APIs we used in 2.0.13 and before.
The only recommendation I can make is that we need to see what rewrites are being generated (via the apache Rewrite log) to really understand where this error comes from.
OKKKK!!!!!!
I upagraded WordPress from 2.9.2 to 3.1. Eveirything works !!!!
Hmm. I’ll have to set up a test blog with 2.9.2 and see if maybe something else is going on there – thanks for letting us know.
Could you also share what plugins you were running, in case it isn’t just a WP Version thing?
But … not everything is ok.
Clicking on the like button within the Facebook canvas the excerpt on my profile wall is always the same whatever post I refer. The title of the post is substituted by the blog title.
Clicking on the link near the excerpt title it goes to the right post.
Closing this one as resolved since there is another thread for it and we’re getting thread overload in the forums, making it hard to triage.
