• Posted this problem on openparenthesis.org back in mid January.
The reason was given that the Add2Any plugin was causing this error “a2a_config not defined”. I recently had time to completely remove add2any and test. The error “a2a_config not defined” was eliminated but the problem persisted. So I have reinstalled add2any. I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this and if there is yet a solution?

I should also mention that for a over a month the whole setup worked just fine. Everything worked completely as advertised. I updated some plugins around mid Jan and every since no luck. πŸ™

Thank you for any and all assistance.

What does a2a plugin do? If you don’t need it inside of Facebook you could disable the plugin just inside of Facebook (http://wpbook.net/docs/faq question 2.) The would work if you were sure that it was a conflict with that particular plugin. Another thing to check is that you have iframe size set to “Auto-resize”

Basically this problem stems from a failure in Facebook’s resizing javascript, which in turn seems to be caused by some javascript in your blog.

Turn off all plugins (other than WPBook and test). Then turn on half, and see if the problem returns.

Opening your blog in Facebook and looking at the error console, I see:

Error: a2a_config is not defined

Error: Permission denied for <http://www.cyclonemarketing.info> to call method Location.toString

Error: Permission denied for <http://www.cyclonemarketing.info> to call method Location.toString

I don’t know for certain that these cause the resizing javascript to fail, but it is a pretty good guess. πŸ˜‰

Do you have a domain configured in the Facebook settings for your app as http://www.cyclonemarketing.info?

Not sure what you are asking for?

@bandonrandon Yes Auto-resize is selected.

Thank you

@Danzing9 I believe John is asking that you have your canvas url inside Facebook as the above domain.

No, I mean in the Facebook settings for your application, on the “website” section, there is an entry for Site URL and another for Site Domain.

Some people have had issues with the Facebook javascript if they did not have “Site Domain” set correctly, though it has never caused problems for me (and I’ve not set mine).

I did not have Site Domain filled in.
I’ve tried it with and it remains the same.
All of the post and comments are there if you highlight the text and continue to highlight the text scrolling down it all slides up to the viewable area. For some reason it’s like a div with hidden overflow without the scroll bars. I’ve tried experimenting with different selections with IFrame Size: selecting Show Scroll Bars (which is currently set to Auto-resize) but it either breaks the app or stays the same.

Current settings
Site URL: http://www.cyclonemarketing.info/
Site Domain: http://www.cyclonemarketing.info < (edit I have no “http://” here)

Thank you

Yes – the full content is there, but Facebook’s javascript for auto-resize is failing.

The question is why.

Have you tried eliminating plugins to see if that has an impact?

If you remove the add2any plugin, does the problem persist?

Your iFrame *should* be set to Auto-Resize.

Thread Starter danzig9

(@danzig9)

Yes I have it set to Auto-Resize.

And I had removed the add2any plugin and the problem was exactly the same. That is the only plugin that I have turned off and tested without.
I hate to turn every plugin off because doing that in the past has caused me to lose settings in certain plugins causing extra hours of work to reset.

Thank you

(@johneckman)

If you’ve removed the add2any plugin, do you still see the javascript error referring to a2a_config?

If not, then add2any isn’t the source of the problem, but I don’t know what is.

The only way to troubleshoot this issue is to try eliminating interference by other plugins. Sorry.
