[Plugin: WP-Table Reloaded] table contents dropping on save

ever since upgrading to WP 3.3 and the latest version of Reloaded, we’re having some issues with a relatively large table cutting off randomly on save. I keep having to upload a backup from CSV and replace the table.

It’s just a regular table that has text and some images in it. very simple html.

please advise!

Hi,

very likely this is related to the Suhosin issue. Suhosin is a PHP extension on servers that sometimes prohibits saving large tables. Please see the following threads for more, including ideas to fix it:

tobias,

curious as to whether the suhosin thing will affect EVERY save of a large table, or if it’s random?

our table really isn’t that big (81 rows) and sometimes it flakes out and sometimes it updates fine. we have to manually import/overwrite existing tables sometimes multiple times per day and it’s incredibly frustrating.

also, why would this have only started after updating to the most recent version of the plugin?

Hi,

the Suhosin extension should actually affect the saving of all large tables, and not just randomly. So, it might be that something else is causing this problem on your site…

And yes, 81 rows is not that big, but “too big” simply depends on the configuration of Suhosin (or whatever is causing the problem).

Unfortunately, I don’t have an explanation on why this should have started with the update to the current version of WP-Table Reloaded… Nothing was changed in the save process since quite some time…

Another idea might be that your server times out or runs out of PHP memory for some reason. Can you maybe increase those limits?
