• I want to create a page with a large array of small images. I created a table 5×100 (col x row). In the wordpress page I added the tag [table id=1 /].
I put placeholder text in a few of the cell. When I view the page the table and the placeholder text is viewed as would be expected.

Question- How do I insert images (jpg) into the cells? I cannot do it by editing the page because the only thing there is the table tag. The WP-Table Reloaded editor does not have any image/media insert tools like are found in the WP Posts or Pages editor.

  • Hi,

Images have to be inserted on the “Edit table” screen, just like any other content (they are added as HTML code).

The WP-Table Reloaded editor does not have any image/media insert tools like are found in the WP Posts or Pages editor.

Sorry? What about the button “Insert image” below the input fields on the “Edit table” screen? If you click that, you are told to click the table cell into which you want to insert the image and can then choose your image from WP’s image library.

Thank you Tobias. I had to look a couple of times to find the button. With IE7 the WP Image manager did not open. I had to switch to Firefox.

    Hi,

    no problem!
IE 7 is weird sometimes with this. I could find a reason yet though 🙁
But good that it works in Firefox for you now! 🙂

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
