Don’t bother unless your site is going to be bombarded with traffic and comments.

Lockdown was designed for when you know you’re going to get a deluge of hits, say from digg.com or techcrunch. For normal traffic if you have to enable it and still want to let people comment on your site then you need a bigger server because your normal traffic is too much.

Even with it enabled your site could still crash if you got a huge deluge of traffic. Don’t bother with lockdown unless your server is really struggling to cope with traffic.

Nope, it’s not working. Check the source. It couldn’t write the cache file. 🙁
