Support » Plugin: Smush Image Compression and Optimization » [Plugin: WP] for Nextgen

I uploaded some images using Nextgen and also installed and I can see if it is “smushed” or not. I tried uploading a new pic to see if it would smush it and it said it did. But how do I know if it truly did? I mean sure, it said it did it’s job, but where does it show that it really did? Any thoughts or comments?

    Hi @sglambroni09 & @eldenroot

Does NextGen add images to the media library?

Percentages and bytes saved are shown next on the status page in the latest version could you both please try that?

I think that it doesnt add images to the gallery…. there is a special folder for it, there are the pictures saved… I can post you more info (path, directory, …)

@eldenroot If you could post path information that would be great.

If there is enough support for this feature then the developer may consider adding this in a future release once the main bugs have been fixed 🙂

but you can set your own custom path in Nextgen gallery

I think it could be very useful if you can choise in your own path and click on proces

    Hi @eldenroot

Thanks for confirming that. I’ve mentioned this to the lead developer, as always if there is enough support he’ll consider adding this in a future release.

However at the moment he’s focusing on ironing out all the bugs in the code we inherited 🙂

Hi, this would be a great feature to have the ability to smush images uploaded via nextgen.
I tried copying the gallery folder to uploads but it still doesn’t smush them, the images don’t show in the media library either.

    Hi @mcfester,

Thanks for your input on this, much appreciated 🙂 I’m afraid currently it won’t but we’ll consider this for future development.

    Kind Regards
