[Plugin: WP Invites] Not Working with Buddypress

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of buddypress to use with my blog.

I have also obtained Registered Users Only 2 & WP Invites, which I have installed successfully (to my knowledge)

I understand that my blog should now be private, and the only people who can register are people who I send an invite code to – and I can control my members. The only problem is, I do not see where or how I do any of this within my dashboard.

Also, when I sign out of WP and attempt to access my site to see what it would look like for visitors, the page is simply a wordpress log in page. There are no options for anyone to sign up OR input their invitation code.

Guys, I am really stuck, and I have searched for basic start up tutorials all day and have found nothing. I am clearly out of my depth here, but I am frustrated as it seems like it should be a straight forward procedure?!
