There is a serious design error in this plugin.

Plugins exist to add specific functions to WordPress. This plugin, WP-answers, thinks it’s “The Site”! But, it’s not! I already have a website running, with thousands of users, hundreds of posts, comments, and … many others plugins working together WordPress.

I’m looking for a plugin for users of my site to post questions and answers. WP-Answers seemed like a great alternative. After a few questions (which were quickly answered) I bought the plugin.

WP-Answers is a trash. Took advantage of the name (wp-answer : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-answers/) that already exists in WordPress (plugins), but it is other project.

It crashes my Control Panel using Firefox, Opera and Chromium. WP-answers try read all user from my site when I access it, but there are > 5.000 users and it stop to work for some time.

When it come back, I can’t do importants functions, like post questions (the “post now” button send a request to my site, but WP-Answers returns to begin – and does nothing).

WP-Answer only “works” if you install and activate the theme provided by them (turn on their theme for your entire site!). This is crazy… I do not want to change the theme of my site (I already have a website running – I just want a plugin with specific functions). I suppose the theme of the plugin will affect only the page where the plugin is running. (not?).

I tried to report these problems on their website (http://wp-answers.com/), but (surprise, surprise) you can not access the forum without Oliver Dale (I think he is the owner) authorization (I’m a customer…I should have free access to the forum (!)). So I send a message to Oliver. He answer: “you will need to use our theme with the plugin, What we recommend is a separate installation of WordPress in a directory, ie. domain.com/answers. Then use this plugin to share users between the main site and wp-answers : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/shared-users-reloaded/”.

Holy ****! I can’t believe this… So I answer to Oliver: “I can not use 2 installations, because this is not a solution, is a “quick fix”. I lose control, lose the visual identity… and the plugin you recommended has no guarantee. Is not good for me. I’ve uninstalled your plugin and wanted you to give back my money, ok?”

WP-Answers is not for me. OK, this is not a big problem, just give back my money and I’ll look for another solution, right?

I’ve bought several products on the internet and never had problems with returning the money: this is a common and respected by all selling on the web.

But Oliver Dale does not think so. He did not answer my emails (sent others demanding the return of money) and can not access the forum of them (access denied). He’s hiding! Who behaves that way? A thief?

I paid just over $ 70 … is it worth the image of WP-Answers.
