[Resolved] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] page-sitemap.xml generation error.

  • I am having issues with the sitemaps and submitting them using Google Webmaster. The “page-sitemap.xml” produces this as output “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” When submitted to Google I am getting “Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format.” I also have W3 Total Cache installed as this is something that was suggested in a few posts. Any help in getting this resolved is greatly appreciated.

  • I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the WordPress SEO plug in and now have gotten this error “Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/content/03/9006603/html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 448”

After a second attempt at viewing the “page-sitemap.xml” I am now receiving the “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.” again.

I believe that the fatal error received previously was a one off. I looked at it briefly this morning and haven’t seen the fatal error since. However, I haven’t seen anything like a site map produced yet. Can anyone give advice on this issue?

Does anyone have advice on this issue? It does seem to randomly toggle between a fatal error and the no style error.
