If you try to import a previously-exported post containing backslashes, those backslashes will be omitted during the import process.

I have fixed and patched this issue.
Who and where should I usually ask for someone to apply my patch to an official WordPress plugin? I couldn’t find anything named “wordpress-importer” in the Trac’s component field.

You can create a ticket on the core WordPress Trac under the “Import” component.
