Support » Plugin: Wordbooker » [Plugin: Wordbooker] Feature Request: API for Disreguarding Post Types

  • I find it annoying that Worbooker keeps blasting updates to my custom event calendar to Facebook. Would it be feasible to add an API to “disregard” post types to Wordbooker? This could be a filter/hook that accepts an array of post type names, and then the plugin would quickly check it against the post type of the item being published, and abort the Facebooking process if it validated as true.

Version 2 will support category inclusion/exclusion. I could look at adding post type support in a similar method.

Cool. Do you have a rough ETA on version 2? I’ve seen a few comments about it, so I assume it’s been in the works for awhile.

There is no ETA at the moment – Work is keeping me busy (just done 3 50+ hour weeks back to back) and I moved house this weekend so I haven’t done much V2 work at all

Ouch. That sounds familiar. I’ve been delaying a project of mine for about a year because I never have the time or motivation to pick up where I left off. (Plus, I have the always fun problem of wanting to start new things instead of working on old ones…)

Its annoying – I just did a 12 hour day today and I’m back at work in 11 hours time.

I’m hoping that work will soon calm down a bit and I’ll get more energy and time to start the next tranche of work on V2

Post type inclusion/exclusion would be a great feature! Thanks steve for the great plugin.
