Yes, more information would be great please. Thank you.
The developer’s website is not responding… not a good sign.
+1 Also interested in the reason behind the removal.
Hopefully this gets resolved soon.

I didn’t want to take a risk any longer, so I’ve uninstalled the plugin and installed another one that had been updated more recently.
6 months without an update is a long time, and not replying promptly to such a support question isn’t right.
I know it’s the week-end, but still.
Looks like the plugin is abandoned by now, so moving on…
@manni02 Can I ask which plugin you installed? Was it easy to switch?
Which alternative did you choose?
It doesn’t feel right to post a link to the competition in this thread, even in the current situation, but if you search for “redirection” when adding a plugin from wordpress you’ll find a few alternatives with good feedback and recently updated.
It took me a few minutes to replace this plugin, but I only had two custom redirections. It will take a bit more time if you have more, but it’s worth getting the peace of mind.
Good luck!

There is no “competition” between free plugins…
There are many good alternatives to this:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/ is simple, been around a long time and very popular.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-post-redirect/ is new, also good.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/ is complex and powerful… not really a direct replacement.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-redirect-manager/ again great, but complex and not really a direct replacement.
Today I found the plugin without an edit button. There is a notification to enable jQuery.
It was removed for security reasons, because a Contributor could potentially set up a redirect to an external website. If you don’t have anyone else registered on your site, and you have automatic registration turned off, there is no risk to you.
I have a patched version that doesn’t allow anyone who is not an admin to add a redirect.
You can browse the change (I copied the original plugin code, then submitted a PR with the security fixes). The main directory has a .zip that you can download.

@jasonian thank you!
the developer is here again i think! that’s a great news! this plugin save me a lot of times.
@waylayer My pleasure! I have to still use it (way too deep to change now!) and patching was the only way.
Looks like it!
