• Hello.

I need to translate the woocommerce part where it says “Showing all %d results”.

The problem is that i don’t have this string in my woocommerce translation.

If i go in woocommerce translation settings, the plugin give me an alert where tell me to sync the translation because there are new things. The problem is that sync is not working, and i don’t have this string.

    Thank you in advance.

  • I have a similar but not identical issue:

    1) My site is in German.
    2) I updated woocommerce, template and LOCO translate
    3) Some of the Woocommerce strings on Web-page are still English but should be German
    4) LOCO shows 100% of Woocommerce plugin transalted ==> after SYNC it drops to 89%, seems about right
    5) Change one message that requires translation and is clearly marked as not-translated
    6) SAVE po file and refresh web-page ==> NO effect whatsoever
    7) Check PO file in language/plugins/woocommerce-de_DE.po, NEITHER message-id nor translated string is there, however date/time of po-file has been updated when I pressed SAVE in LOCO

    Help? Please?

It’s such a nice tool if only it keeps working…

Forgot to mention: NO errors, NO warning, only “OK: PO file saved and MO file compiled”

You’re telling me that saving a PO file from the editor does not make it to disk?

I am unable to reproduce this error. Are you certain you don’t have multiple copies of the woocommerce-de_DE.po file? or are looking at a similar string?

Please tell me which WooCommerce string is not saving.

Correct, it does not make it to the disk, however it DOES update the date/time information – so I know for a fact that it opens the file.

As long as LOCO plugin is active, the string sticks, even after multiple syncs. If I go back and click on “Home” for example, and reload Woocommerce, the same starts over again, like it never stored the string.

one of the strings I’m trying to translate is “Cart totals”, originating in woocommerce.pot line 24760, located in plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages.
The translated file is supposed to be located in languages/plugins – which is where woocommerce-de_DE.po in fact is as the ONLY woocommerce-po file on the system.

And like I wrote: each time I hit save, the file’s date/time-stamp gets updated.

if you wish I could send you the POT, PO and MO file – do you think that’d help?

Thanks a bunch for your help!

By all means post the PO file that Loco Translate saved, but please start a new thread. This is someone else’s support topic and your issue is not the same.

I had this problem with Woocommerce and the only thing that worked for me was changing the location of the .po file. When creating a new language, Loco suggests the “Custom” location. I would always get erros with Sync until I changed the .po and .mo files to the Author: location (plugins/woocommerce/i18n/languages/woocommerce-<locale>.po)
