Plugin that stops spam registration?

Howdy – i use akismet for spam and it’s great, but it doesn’t seem to stop spam robots from registering as users on my site. Granted, these robots can’t actually do anything, because they never validate their email. But it’s stil annoying to have hundreds of fake people in my data base. Any easy way to get rid of them?
