[Plugin: Subscribe2] Subscriber2 not defaulting to HTML

Hello world.

We’ve started using subscribe2 and can’t seem to get new subscribers to default to get our cool looking HTML themed emails. We did set the widget to “Auto-subscribe users to receive email as: HTML” which I thought would do it.

But it still requires users to visit their profile page after confirming their email address to toggle their pref from plain text to HTML.

Anyone know a trick for this??
