You plugin, when enabled, stops the LOAD MORE button working on the page advised, so blog entries cannot be seen.

When clicking on the button the load more just “hangs”. If we disable your plugin it works fine.

    Please help with a fix.

    Hello @stevehale

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.

Can you please disable the settings one by one in Performance>general settings, save the settings and purge the cache after each setting is disabled, and see which one might be causing the issue? Start with the Lazyloading option in Performance>General settings as this option may be in conflict with your theme lazyload.

    Thanks!

    Hi there Marko

    Thanks for your input.

If I disable Lazy Load on images (I presume you mean this first), the Load More button works for the 1st click/press but then does not work on the 2nd click/press.

Disabling Page Cache (Disk:Basic – as we have Cleantalk anti spam on the site) does nothing.

If I turn off the database cache and switch back on page cache and lazy load things seem to work. Is there a way of keeping the dataabase cache on but ignore the specific page or element?

    Best regards

    Steve

    Hello @stevehale

    Thank you for your feedback.

You can go to Performance>Database Cache and add to /our-blog/ Never cache the following pages: field.
Make sure to save all settings and purge the cache and let me know if the problem persists.

    Thanks!

    Hi Marko

    Hello @stevehale

    Thank you for your feedback.
As I can see the load more button is working now. So I am guessing you disabled the Database Caching.
Can you please share which caching method you are using for DB caching if you are caching to Disk, it’s recommended to disable DB caching because caching to disk is not advised for DB caching and OC caching.
As for your inquiry, can go to Performance>Database Cache and add to /our-blog/ Never cache the following pages: field again and check the source of the page. At the bottom you will see a W3TC HTML snippet and you should also see the following if the page is excluded from DB caching:

Database Caching using disk (Request-wide Request URI is rejected)

Let me know if this helps!

    Thanks!

    Hi Marko

Yes I disabled it for the moment.

I am caching to disk as this is the only option available on the drop down.

I did isolate the page as you suggested but I will double check.

    Come back to you.

    Hi Marko

I have re-enables the DB caching and it is caching to disk, there is no other option available.

I have checked the page source and cannot see what you suggest. This is all that I can see at the end of the page:

    <!--

Object Caching 154/333 objects using disk

Database Caching using disk (Request-wide modification query)

    Hello @stevehale

    Thank you for your feedback.

You are checking this page source while logged in and as you can see this is not showing in the source.
Please go to Performance>Database Cache and add to /our-blog/ Never cache the following pages: field
Share the screenshot of the Database Cache screen and make sure to save all settings and purge the cache.
And once again it’s recommended to disable DB caching because caching to Disk is not advised for DB caching and OC caching.

    Thanks!

    Sorry Marko

I do not readily understand what this means:

Please go to Performance>Database Cache and add to /our-blog/ Never cache the following pages: field
Share the screenshot of the Database Cache screen and make sure to save all settings and purge the cache.

I HAVE already added /our-blog/ to the Never cache.

What does “following pages: field” mean?
