Todd,

Another question: I can’t seem to find anywhere comment moderation? Can I turn that off? I don’t have it turned on in the Discussion tab, but now it appears I need to moderate everything that comes in?

Check your configuration under Settings -> Discussion. Spam Free WordPress does not change the Discussion settings. Be sure to disable all other comment spam plugins.
