[Resolved] [Plugin: Social] Auto approve logged in comments

  • Love the plugin but it would be nice with an option that extends the default comment options. We use the option that users must have at least one approved comment before the comments shows up. But if the user is logged in via facebook or twitter we would like the option to approve that comment directly. Hope that makes sense. =)

You’d need to do customization for this. By design, Social treats users that have logged in with Facebook/Twitter differently than users who were manually created in WordPress, then added Facebook/Twitter profiles to that existing user account.

Yeah I kinda noticed that. 🙂 I did a quick test to see if I could use the “pre_comment_approved” filter to approve the comment if a user was logged in. Do you have an alternative to is_user_logged_in() for those users that are logged in via social?

Otherwise just consider this as a humble feature suggestion.

I’d really like to see this functionality as well. Any chance of getting some insight into what kind of customization is necessary?

Just noticed this is marked as resolved. Can someone point me to the solution? Or is it just a dead issue?
