[Plugin: Slideshow Gallery] Thumbnail navigation on click possible?

Would it be possible to scroll through the thumbnail navigation on click instead of on hover? When viewing the slideshow on a mobile device the thumbnail navigation keeps scrolling through after clicking one of the arrows.
