[Plugin: SimpleModal Contact Form (SMCF)] Blocks Theme Editor function

  • Actually, I’m on 2.9 but it’s not an option yet.

This is a new conflict with WP 2.9 because it worked before I upgraded (I even checked another blog that isn’t upgraded yet to make sure).

The plugin seems to work fine otherwise, and I haven’t noticed any other conflicts as of yet, but it definitely affects the theme editor. When I try to edit a file it gives me a “Sorry, this file cannot be edited” error.

I deactivated all plugins and tested them all – this is the one that causes it. Would love a fix!

  • Here i’m getting this message/conflict on 2.9 when “Pagebar2” plugin is activated.

Please bring us a update, because it’s a very important resource.

Adjustment in “Pagebar2” just launched on 2.56 version. Thanks Lutz!

Thanks digigirl for your post. I deactivated the SimpleModal Contact Form (SMCF) on my 2.9 install and now I can access the theme editor. Now I have to go look for another contact form plugin…

digigirl – Thanks for reporting the issue.

I had tested it with 2.9 and hadn’t noticed any problems. I’ll look into your specific issue though.

digigirl & designnabi : there was a problem in SMCF with a global variable name conflict. I’ve updated the code and version 1.2.5 should be available soon.

    Thanks,
    Eric
