[Plugin: Shortcode Exec PHP] Plugin not working: PHP error

When I activated this plugin and created a shortcut, I wasn’t able to get my PHP code to run, instead, I got a php error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /*******/wp-content/plugins/shortcode-exec-php/shortcode-exec-php-class.php(893) : eval()’d code on line 1

How come?
