plugin search Term

    I recently published a plugin to wordpress.org. The plugin shows up in the newest plugin list, recently updated list, I can search for it by author and tags, but not by term.

    It would seem that the plugin search by Term is not finding any word in my description or plugin name.

    What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.

    Unfortunately, it can take up to a week for your plugin to be indexed by the local search engine. If it’s been more than a week, contact plugins@wordpress.org

    Is there a different system for Terms compared to Author or Tags searches? Thanks again!

    That’s correct, authors and tags work here just like authors, tags, and categories work on your blog. They’re instantly searchable, because they’re a pre-existing form of categorization.

    Searching by term is just like searching via Google. The local search engine needs to index the plugin page before it can find it.
