[Plugin: Redirection] Redirect changed url's (feature request)

  • Redirection is a wonderfull plugin, I use it for years without problems.

I really love the feature that it auto redirects the changed posts (slugs). I have a request to make this a little bit better.

When you switch a post from a custom post type to another custom post type the url could switch like:
    /cars/ford-gt (old)
    /oldtimers/ford-gt (new)

Redirections won’t pick up this change because it’s not the slug of the post that changed but the slug of the custom post type.

It would be great if redirection also looked at the slug of the custom post type! Especially when you use a plugin like ‘post type switcher’ or when you change a slug for the whole custom post type.

Thanks for the plugin I hope this feature is doable 🙂

    Regards,
    Rein
