[Plugin: Redirection] Few doubts regarding redirect plugin

Hi all

I have a website decent traffic of close to 2000 uniques..So, I do not want to make a mistake and lose all the traffic. Please advice me on the following questions

1. Will this plugin affect search engine traffic? Will all the link juice of old site be eventually passed on to new site?

2. Will redirecting be in such a way that oldsite.com/title-1 be redirected to newsite.com/title-1 or is it that every redirection is to the homepage of newsite.com

3. Can someone offer me their own experiences or site redirecting so I can reassure myself..

I am sorry if this sounds like I am untrustworthy of the plugin. I have high regards for the developers, but do not want to waste away my efforts of two years..
